At the End of My Limit

Rick recently helped with the Peak Performance Camp (PPC), the high school version of AIA’s Ultimate Training Camp (UTC). During the camp we saw God using challenges in the lives of participants to bring them closer to God.

For many, the timing of the camp was critical to help them with everything from their relationship with the Lord to anxiety, depression, relationships, self-esteem, self-reliance and suicidal thoughts. The loving, caring atmosphere helped many draw near to God.

After learning and practicing the AIA Principles, the athletes are put to the test in a grueling athletic competition where they find God meeting them at their lowest point. Some quotes from participants:

“I learned I am enough and my worth is in the Lord, not in what I do. I have to lean on the Lord when things are tough.”

“I’ve known God, but camp showed me how much I need Him. I always relied on myself and tried to cover up sin instead of giving it to God. He helped me through.”

“This was my 1st experience in a caring team-centered situation. It was eye opening!”

“I learned how God is there for me whether I like it or not. He helped me persevere.”

“I never felt so close to God. When pressed beyond my ability, I shut everything out but God and the trial. The pain was there, but it didn’t mean anything.”

“I want to take this back to students in Nigeria.” (stated by an intern at camp)It was a blessing to witness the changing of so many lives in just four days. Thank you for giving us the privilege of serving through your partnership.

Praise God for those laborers serving at PPC 2021 who poured out their lives to reach this generation for Christ!
