Rick’s Title:  Sports T.E.A.M. Analyst 

Serving with Athletes in Action with our Total Athlete Complex in Xenia, OH.

Rick’s role is to help our division to see “A Christ-follower on every team, in every sport, in every nation” by maximizing our financial and operational resources. Ultimately, my mission is to our help everyone from staff and volunteers to ministry partners build sustainable spiritual movements globally and nationally through the platform of sports.

What does this mean in real terms? I will be developing systems to assist the Sports T.E.A.M. division and teams to identify, track, and evaluate how effective the organization is in accomplishing our KSO’s (Key Strategic Objectives) and measurements. It’s about stewardship of all God has entrusted to our ministry for the sake of the gospel.  The cool part will be working and assisting every aspect of Sports T.E.A.M.’s ministry and helping our leadership set direction for the division.

By partnering with our ministry you will be playing a vital role in helping to:

• Supporting 12 different AIA ministry teams serving in the US and internationally
• Evaluating 30 – 40 AIA domestic and internal projects to share God’s love, build life and athletic skills through them each year
• Assisting in developing the personal ministry and leadership skills of countless athletes, coaches, trainers, and sports fans to impact their world for Christ

Karen role is an editor and writer for AIA’s communications group utilizing her God-given talent for communicating.  She loves to tell the stories of sports heroes and fans who are walking with God and how they are encouraging others to put their faith in Him.

Over the past three years Karen has also started coaching new women interns or part-time staff over the summer as they prepare to serve on campuses around the country each fall.

The body of Christ, like the human body, has many parts and each one is needed to complete its purpose.  The success of any ministry is dependent on connecting people with God’s mission.  That is the heart of our ministry.
